▎ A day to pause, reconnect, and celebrate the community we've built together.
Our Annual Get-Together is the one day of the year the whole Marutham UK family comes together in person — consultants, GPs, nurses,
AHPs, pharmacists, researchers, students, and the friends who cheer us on. Whether you joined us in 2024, attended your first
webinar last month, or have been quietly reading our newsletter for years, you belong here.
What to expect
- Morning keynote — "The Quiet Strength of Women in Healthcare"
Dr. Anitha Rajendran (Consultant Endocrinologist, Guy's & St Thomas') shares reflections on mentorship, imposter syndrome, and the
women who held the door open for her.
- Panel — "Building a Career Without Burning Out"
Three Marutham members at different career stages (GP trainee, senior nurse, clinical academic) on navigating rotas, caring
responsibilities, and ambition.
- Breakout circles (choose one)
- Early Careers & Medical Students
- Returning to Work After a Career Break
- Research & Academia
- Leadership & Management
- Community lunch — a traditional South Indian sit-down lunch catered by Dosa Deli. Please indicate dietary requirements during
registration.
- Afternoon workshop — "Tell Your Story"
A guided session on writing and speaking about your professional journey. Facilitated by Priya Subramaniam (BBC journalist &
Marutham patron).
- Closing reception with music and chai
Wind down with live music from the Subha Nair Trio and a short tribute to members we've lost this year.
